Nielsen, Willy ~ after a courageous battle, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 58 years to Glory Nielsen. Loving father of Jan (Katherine) Nielsen. Cherished grandfather of Caroline (Derek) Miller and Christel (Mario) Grano and stepgrandfather of Blake Henry and great grandfather of Bryce and Brianna Miller, Aleshia and Madison Grano. Predeceased by a brother and 2 sisters in Denmark and daughter-in-law Christina. Willy will be missed by his nieces and nephews in Canada, Denmark and Australia. He was very active in the YMCA, St. Catharines in the 1960's, he ran the Gymnastics program for boys at the downtown YMCA for many years and was very involved in various youth activities and developments in the Niagara area..
