William Charles Whitwell

Whitwell, William Charles ~ at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of 55 years to Margaret (Cooper) Whitwell. Loving father of Mark (Barbi) Whitwell, Lorraine (Tony) Verde and Joy DiSimoni. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Steven, Jennifer, Gregory, Adam, Tyler and Matthew. Bill will also be remembered by his brothers Frank "Windy", Lorne, Jack and Tom and by his sisters June, Sadie, Betty and Helen. Predeceased by sister Mary. Bill was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #17, Thorold and an avid Toronto Blue Jays Fan. Thank you to Dr. Samosh, the Oncology Unit of the St. Catharines General Hospital, Dr. Bill McMillan, the caring staff of the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the caring staff on 1W at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital for all their special care and compassion.
