William T. Townsend

Townsend, William T. ~ at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Doris (Bisson) Townsend. Loving father of Wayne (Yolanda) Townsend, Shelley (Vince) Orlando, Scott (Jaclyn) Townsend and stepfather of Leslie (Garry) Forbes, Daniel (Jeanne) Rankin and Leonard Rankin. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Vanessa and Olivia Townsend, Evia and Danin Orlando, Matthew and Alexandra Rankin and Melanie and Gordon Forbes. Dear brother of Emma Clarke and Glen "Andy" Townsend. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Marguerite Townsend and sister Linda Clarke. Bill will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. He was in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1946 to 1948. Bill worked for 38 years in the advertising and broadcasting industries in Canada and New York City holding positions in sales, sales management and management.
