Vickie was born April 17, 1945 in San Roberto, Reggio di Calabria, Italy to her parents, the late Antonio and Maria Cotroneo. She came to Canada in 1956 on the boat called Olympia. Vickie could accomplish anything she set her mind to, at an early age she ran the household and she was the one the family came to for advice, words of wisdom, support and guidance. It is in Canada where she met the love of her life, Vito, her husband of 47 years. Through their life time they raised their family and built their businesses in Niagara including Silvergate Homes and Silverline Group putting her heart and soul into everything she did. With love, compassion and laughter she raised her three children John (special friend, Stephanie Bonetta), Michael (Shannon) and Susan (special friend, John Hendriks). Nonna Vickie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jonathan and Justin. Her kindness and strength will be greatly missed by her brothers George (Margaret) Cotroneo, Domenic Cotroneo, Vincent "Jimmy" (Lillian) Cotroneo, Frank (Denise) Cotroneo, Joseph (Karen) Cotroneo and Mario (Joanne) Cotroneo as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law Nicolina (Pasquale) Carrelli, Vince (Tina) Passero, Gennaro (Ofelia) Passero, Maria (Adelio) Mastrangelo, Gaetana (Bruno) Sardella, Ida (Vince) Mancini, Enrico Antonio (Carmelina) Passero and the late Giuseppe (Lilia) Passero. Predeceased by aunts Giovonna and her husband Antonio Musulino and Giuseppina and her husband Antonio Romeo. Vickie will also be sadly missed by her aunt Marianna and her husband the late Matteo Vizzari, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vickie always had a strong faith, positive attitude towards life and all enjoyed her unforgettable laugh. She enjoyed golfing with the girls, spending the cold months in sunny Florida, but her love and passion was for gardening and cooking meals for her family. Vittoria was granted her angel wings. Her final days were spent surrounded with her loving family and friends that Vickie had touched in many ways throughout her beautiful and memorable life.
