Vincenzina Di Salvo

Di SALVO, VINCENZINA (Née Di Raddo): A life lived with such grace and beauty deserves to be tenderly cherished. Vincenzina peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at the age of 99. Born on July 25, 1924, in San Pietro Infine, Italy, she made her home in Thorold, Ontario, Canada, in 1967. She was the cherished spouse of the late Gino Di Salvo, who departed in 2009 after 63 years of loving companionship. Vincenzina was a devoted mother to Rose (Frank) Pascale, the late Pat (2017), and the late Liliana (2015). Vincenzina was predeceased by her sister Filomena in 1989, and her parents Rocco and Rosa (née Bordone) Di Raddo.

Our beloved Nonna leaves a void that will be deeply felt, and her memory will forever warm the hearts of her grandchildren: Robert (Julie), Lisa (Ian), Lora (Barry), Sandra, Amanda, Shane (Elena), Chantal, and Ashlea (Karl). Additionally, she will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Bianca, Julia, Nicholas, Olivia, Daniel, Ethan, Emma, Xavier, Harper, and Liliana. She was also dearly loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vincenzina's kindness and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. In addition to being a devoted member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, she actively participated in various activities, including singing in the choir, since 1967. Visitors will be welcomed at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 1:00 -3:00 and 6:00- 8:00 PM. Vigil prayers will be recited at 2:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY CHURCH at 11:00 AM. Rite of committal Lakeview Cemetery.
