Remigio, Victor Peter ~ peacefully, at his residence on Monday, June 27, 2011 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of 64 years to Evelyn Remigio. Loving father of Ron (Virginia) Remigio and Tom (Colleen) Remigio. Papa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kyla (Scott Brown) Remigio-Brown, Jared Remigio and Alicia Remigio and by his great granddaughter Sophie Remigio-Brown. Dear brother of Helen (the late Bill) Toczyski, Patrick (Elaine) Remigio. Predeceased by brothers George (the late Mabel) Remigio, Paul, survived by wife Irene Remigio, the late Leo, survived by wife Doris Remigio and the late Mary Lou (the late Henry "Chick") Giannini. Vic will also be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many cousins. He worked for the Ontario Paper Co. in the maintenance department for 35 years retiring in 1982. Vic was a veteran of WWII, enlisting on June 22, 1941, serving until March 9, 1946. He was active at the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944 as well as The Battle of Leopold Canal, and Caan. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. #17, Thorold, a volunteer in minor league Thorold Baseball in the 1940's and 50's and industrial leagues as a coach and umpire. Vic will not be forgotten by his poker, golf and bowling buddies. Thank you to Dr. Nagai and the entire staff of the Dialysis Unit of the former Hotel Dieu Hospital.
