Twyla Weir

WEIR, TWYLA (née Cort) – it is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden, unexpected passing of Twyla, after complications with a very brief but courageous battle with cancer. She passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Niagara Health Marotta Family Hospital at the age of 59. Loving and devoted wife of John for 33 years. Cherished sister to Jackie (Joe) Angelone. Predeceased by her mother Kathy (née Gregor) (December 7, 2023), father Charles (December 22, 1998) and her brother Terry (July 9, 1980). Mom to fur-babies Mercury, Dexter and Boonie, and Auntie to Snickers. Caring daughter-in-law to Helen "Sue" and the late John "Jack" Weir (June 23, 2011). Treasured sister-in-law to Brian (Janice), Jeff (Irene) and Tracey. Beloved niece of Olga (the late Jerry) Franceschini, and the late Marvin Gregor (surviving spouse Karen). Twyla will be missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families along with many close friends and neighbours. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 9:30 – 11:30 AM. A memorial service will follow immediately in the Lamb Chapel of the Funeral Home. Twyla will be laid to rest with her family at Lakeview Cemetery.
