Halton, Thomas ~ "If I leave here tomorrow, will you still remember me" ~ It is with broken hearts and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Tom (TJ) Halton to that great gig in the sky. Born September 7, 1955 in Merritton to Norma (nee George) and Gerald Halton. Survived by his brother Robert (Amanda) Halton of Merritton and sister Cindy (Elmer) Davis of Thorold. Loving and cherished father to Chanda (Tino) Giancola of Thorold. Best friend, loving partner and eternal soul mate to Debbie Mettler ("I want the entire world to know, your love's all I need"). Tom will be missed by in-laws, Frank and Sandy Mettler of Ransomville, NY as well as Steve, Chris (Tom) and Lisa (Phil). He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom began his sales career in Niagara Falls, selling his first love, stereos. For the past 20 years he worked at Leon's Furniture, beginning in Welland before moving to Niagara on the Lake in 2001. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues and faithful customers there. He also enjoyed a stint as a DJ, working at Ricci's Tavern in Merritton, The Henley and The Port Mansion.
