Teresa Rita Porco

PORCO, TERESA – April 24, 1958 – May 4, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Teresa Rita Porco on May 4, 2023 at the age of 65. Surrounded and supported by her family, Teresa courageously battled cancer for the last 2 years. Predeceased by her husband Raffaele Porco, to whom she was happily married for 32 years. She will be greatly missed by her sons Vittorio (Antoinette Salvatori) Porco and Adriano (Jenn) Porco. Teresa leaves behind her grandchildren Alessandra and Oliver Porco and Dante Salvatori; her sister Gloria (the late Elio) Porco; brother Pasquale (Cathy) Porco; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews from both Canada and Italy. Predeceased by her parents Catherine and Nicola Porco. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her giving heart by many who had the pleasure of knowing her, or whomever she encountered for the first time. Teresa worked in the cafeteria at the Ontario Paper Mill for over 15 years, which she enjoyed immensely for her love of cooking and feeding others. In keeping with Teresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will receive visitors at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be held on Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Rite of committal Lakeview Cemetery. Donations in Teresa’s memory may be made to Juravinski Hospital or Niagara Health Foundation Cancer Unit towards the purchase of medical equipment in her name.
