Sylvia Jeanette Wark

Wark, Sylvia Jeanette (Stevenson) ~ passed away at North Bay Regional Hospital in North Bay, Ontario on Sunday, December 30, 2012 in her 82nd year. Sylvia was born on June 22, 1931in Chatham, Ontario to Wilfred and Florence (Green) Stevenson. She grew up in Merritton and graduated from Merritton High School. Sylvia married Donald "Don" Roy Wark in 1949 in Merritton, Ontario. They were happily married for 63 years. She was a member of The Decew Falls Women's Institute and enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Florence Stevenson, and her sister Lois Male (Stevenson). Sylvia is survived by her husband Don of St. Catharines, Ontario; her son Alan (Mary) Wark of Caistor Centre, David (Frances) Wark of Florida, Donna (Lawrie) Vincer of Sundridge, Debbie Stemplowski of St. Catharines, Douglas (Catherine) Wark of Pelham; brother Wayne (Anne) Stevenson, Lynn (James) Brown, Heather (Harvey) Shoemaker, Sue (McClure) Cheyne; her eight grandchildren Kelly, Stacey (Dan), Tanya-Dawn (Dale), Lee (Sandy), Doug (Diana), Samantha (Lee), Maxx and Matthew; her three great grandchildren Sophie, Chloe and Eric; and her nieces and nephews and other relatives.
