TAYLOR, SIDNEY “Sid”, It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, papa and great papa in his 99th year at the Greater Niagara General Hospital surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Sid is reunited with his beloved wife Grace (2017) and his cherished son, Terry (2024). Sid leaves behind his loving daughter Wendy (Paul) Longo, the grandsons that he treasured Derek (Amanda), Kevin (Erin), Michael (Meg) and his great grandchildren Owen, Camden and Gracie. Survived by his sisters-in-law Margaret and Doreen Taylor. Sid will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents William and Hettie, and his brothers Herb, Ron and Arn (Jean).

Sid was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He devoted his life to caring for Terry and Grace, always placing their needs above his own. Sid loved keeping up with current events—he never went a day without the Toronto Sun, and the television was faithfully tuned to his beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs. He spent his career at Ontario Paper and navigated life’s many ups and downs with a trademark sense of humour. Nothing brought him greater joy than gathering with his family, sharing stories, laughter, and memories of days gone by. Visitors will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A memorial service will be held in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home at 12:00 PM.
