COMMERFORD, Shannon Lee (nee Petteplace) - On July 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Shannon passed away peacefully at the age of 61 after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father, Ron Petteplace. Beloved daughter of Grace Letteau. Dear mother of Carly Sutherland (nee Commerford) and husband Brad. Cherished sister of Shelby Moulin and husband Dwight, Brad Petteplace and wife Sharon, Roxanne Zanatta and husband Robert, Clint Petteplace, Becky Cerson and husband Kent. Loving aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. Shannon will be deeply missed and loved always by her family and friends. We invite her loved ones to visitation at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11am in the chapel of the funeral home, followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to Lincoln County Humane Society in honour of Shannon's love for animals, as well as The Stabler Centre (Hospice Niagara), where Shannon was blessed to spend the last days of her life receiving warm, compassionate care.
