Russell Alden Barron

BARRON, RUSSELL ALDEN- Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Linhaven Long Term Care on April 4, 2022, in his 81st year. His battle with dementia is now over and may he rest in peace. Russ was predeceased by his wife Wendy. Loving father to Tammy (Keith), Laurie (Mike), John (Dana) and stepfather to Rhonda (Tom). Dear grandfather to Brad (Rachel), Brittaney, Dalton, Payton, Raegan, Olivia, Kerstyn, Lucas, and step grandfather to Carter. Russ was a St. Catharines professional firefighter for 30 years. Being a firefighter wasn’t just a job it’s who he was. During his retirement dad and Wendy enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and summers travelling with different motorcycle clubs. Russ loved camping and being outdoors. Throughout his life Russ enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren’s activities. Russ was known to be laid back and easy going. He will be remembered for his amazing smile. Special thanks to Linhaven staff for taking such good care of Dad.
