STEPHENS, Ronald Stephen - Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 87, Ron went to be with Mabel (2004), his beloved wife of 53 years. He'll be sadly missed by children Andy (Robin) Stephens, Barb Daly (Dave) and Paula (Tom) Myke. Loved Grandpa of Rob Stephens and Sean (Sophie) Daly and great Grandpa of Sisilia, Oliver and Penelope Daly. Survived by in-laws Audrey (Ernie) Jukes, George (Barb) Hough and Doreen Hough as well as cherished nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Dorothy Liddycoat and Bob Casson. Predeceased by parents Stephen and Hazel Stephens, brothers Robert (Gert) Stephens, Allan (Jean) Stephens and sister Ruth Scott. Ron was a 40 year employee of the Ontario Paper Company. He was a volunteer member of the Thorold Fire Department for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Thorold Chamber of Commerce for many years and volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. Friends will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, 2 Regent Street, Thorold from 10:30 a.m. -12 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2016. A Memorial service will follow in the chapel at 12 pm. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army were requested by Ron. The family would like to thank Dr. Pringle, the wonderful staff of Cobblestone Gardens, Jan from C.C.A.C. and all of the support workers for their care.
