Robert Edwin Martin

MARTIN, Robert Edwin ~ it is with sadness and heavy hearts we make this announcement. Bob passed away December 15, 2013 after a lengthy illness - pain free at last! Beloved husband and best friend for 58 years to Mary Lou. Loving father to son Robert, daughters Shelly Martin and Sue Davidson. Dear grandfather to Carly and Cameron Davidson, Grace Martin, Branden Rupnig and great granddaughter Aubrie. He was a special "papa" to Sarah (Greg) Miller and their three children Liam, Spencer and Elliott. He will be sadly missed by his brother David, his sister-in-law Marleen (Terry) McKay and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Isobel and Frank, brothers Bill, Jack and Harold "Sonny" and sister Lillian Berton. Bob served with the Canadian Armed Forces in Korea as a paratrooper and worked for many years for Hayes Dana. He was always willing to help others and has been the pillar of strength to his family.
