Robert Lafferty

LAFFERTY, Robert "Vince" ~ June 20, 1925 - April 18, 2014 After a long illness, it is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Vince at the age of 88. Born in Merritton, Vince was the beloved husband of 65 years to Lillian. Loving father of Cathy (Gary) and Robert (Nicole). Cherished grandfather of Samantha and Alicia. Dear brother of Ernie (Beverley), Helen, Shirley, Doris and June (Terry). Vince was a proud veteran serving overseas in the Second World War. He was at Juno Beach and joined up with the Queen's Own (Rifles of Canada) and was awarded with the Netherlands Appreciation Medal for his participation in the liberation of the Netherlands.
