Pirillo, Rita (Citrigno) ~ "A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget." Surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age of 57. Beloved wife of 38 years to Frank Pirillo. Loving mother of Adriano and Maria Luisa (Tony) DiGiovanni. Grandma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Claudia and Matteo. Cherished daughter of Giuseppina and the late Nicola Citrigno and daughter-in-law of the late Giuseppe and the late Francesca Pirillo. Dear sister of Mary (the late Vince) Pirillo, Salvatore Citrigno (Noreen Nesbitt) and the late Frank Citrigno survived by his wife Pina. Sister-in-law of Luigi (Teresa) Pirillo and Elena (Berardo) Mauro both of Italy, Alfredo (Anna) Pirillo, Mario (Rita) Pirillo and the late Leonard survived by his wife Ida Pirillo. Rita will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rita and Frank owned and operated Queensway Auto Parts and Recycling. She was a member of Club Roma, CIBPA, supporter of Padre Pio and an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. Rita supported many other organizations and charities. She organized and assisted the Society of St. Vincent de Paul with the Christmas Family Baskets. She enjoyed painting, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with "the girls" on Tuesday afternoons. A special thank you to Dr. Santina Malaguti for all her special time and care shown to Rita and Dr. Zane Cohen at Mt. Sinai for all his care.
