Raymond Whitehead

Whitehead, Raymond ~ surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with his health on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 51 years to Yvonne. Loving father of Karen (Allan) and Julie (John). Cherished grandfather of Victoria (Peter), Chelsea and great grandfather of newborn great granddaughter Alexis. Predeceased by parents George and Annie Whitehead and brother Gordon. Dear brother of Ron (the late Maureen) and Barbara (Peter) Hawkins. Brother-in-law of Freda, David (Maria) Pascoe and Glenda Kewley. Ray will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews in Canada and overseas and his "special friends" collies, Flash and Charlie. Ray was self employed for over 45 years in the tire and automotive industry in England and Canada. He was the owner and operator of Thorold Tire & Auto. Ray was very proud to be able to help countless family, friends and strangers with his psychic abilities. He was a British Nuclear Veteran of the Royal Engineers 59 Squadron. Ray was part of "Operation Grapple" on Christmas Island in the South Pacific from 1957 to 1958, where he witnessed five nuclear bomb tests. Many thanks to family and friends for all their support.
