Ralph Mauro

Mauro, Ralph ~ peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital, on Thursday, August 23, 2012 in his 84th year. Loving uncle of Randy, John, Teresa (Joe), Holly (Derek), Linda (Paul) and Christine (Mark). Dear brother-in-law of Mary and Emma Mauro. Predeceased and reunited with his parents Teresina (1987) and Giovanni (1935), brothers Jim (2001), Frank (2010) and Eugenio (1933). Ralph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Ralph retired in 1992 after working 42 years at General Motors. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and heading south each year to relax in the Florida sunshine. We will remember Ralph as a generous and kind soul who was an avid New York Yankees fan, spent time at the Fort Erie Race Track, and enjoyed a game or two of poker. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. The family wish to thank the staff at Cobblestone Gardens, especially Joyce for all their loving care and compassion.
