Raffaele Guarasci

GUARASCI, Raffaele “Ralph” – It is with heavy hearts we announce the recent passing of Raffaele with his family by his side on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Niagara Health - Welland site in his 90th year. Raffaele is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Vanda (née Venneri). Cherished father of Teresa and Ed Giglia and Sandy and Susan Guarasci. Adored Nonno to Vanessa, Jessica, Mikayla, Alexa and Kendra.  Survived by his brother Tony (Lena) Guarasci and his sister Lena Andreola. Also survived by his brother in laws Lidio Venneri, Fred (Judy) Venneri and sisters-in-law Emma (Peter) Nasato, Anna (Joe) Roselli, Marcella Serravalle and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Santo and Teresina Guarasci, his mother and father-in-law Alberto and Giovanina Venneri as well as his siblings Cosmo (Maria) Guarasci and Rosina (Domenic) Guarasci. In addition, he is predeceased by in-laws Vasco Andreola, Lenny Serravalle and Teresa Venneri. Ralph was a very soft-spoken man but will be remembered for his quick wit and humour. His love for dance, music, television and his new found love of the Blue Jays will be thought of often. The love for his granddaughters was so evident by the huge smile on his face when they would walk in the door. He would never let one leave his presence without him saying “Take it Ease’. A private funeral service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church.
