CALENDINO, Peter - After a brief Illness, with his family by his side on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the NHS-St. Catharines Site. Dear Husband of Lena for 67 years. Proud father of Larry (Leigh) and Anne Marie (Greg) Howe. Grandpa to Rob (Julie), Dan and Sara. Great Grandpa to Amielle and Noah. Predeceased by sisters Marrietta (Frank) Bocchinfuso and Teresana (Gino) Grimaldi.  Brother in law to Clara (Joe) Serravalle, Emma (The late Frank) Mauro and Ugo (Rosemary) Venneri. Peter will be missed by his nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Peter emigrated from Italy in 1953 and started working for CN Railway in Prince George, British Columbia. In 1965, he moved to Thorold where he began his career with the Seaway Authority, from which he retired in 1990. Friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street Thorold, on Monday, October 16th from 2 -4 and 7 -9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 3:30 PM. A Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold on Tuesday at 11 AM. Rite of Committal Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
