Patrick Donald Loney

LONEY, PATRICK DONALD – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick, of Thorold, on May 19, 2025 at Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines. He was 85 years old. Pat is survived by his beloved wife Jeannette (née Hache) of 65 years; his loving children, Michael, Kenny (Teresa née Battista) and Kathleen. Predeceased by his daughter Patricia (2013) and his son Stephen (2025), his parents Daniel and Ivy Loney and his siblings Leo, Leona, Lorne, Jimmy and Jerry. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Kevin, Kaitlynn, Kelsey, Samantha, Brittany, Nicole, Karly, Jack, Brian, Justin, his great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

Pat was a standardbred and thoroughbred horse trainer and an avid sportsman. He loved to fish and play baseball, hockey and golf, and will be lovingly remembered by his many friends from Beachwood Golf Club, the Thorold Mounts and Oldtimers Hockey, and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17, Thorold. Pat retired from Moore McCleary, where he took great pride in his work as a crane operator.

Following Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada may be left, along with online condolences at www.Bocchinfusofh.com
