PAOLONE, NUNZIATINA “NANCY” (née Ruta) – Surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the age of 93 at Westhills Care Centre in St. Catharines. Loving and devoted wife of the late Raffaele “Ralph” (2016). Cherished mother to John (Gina), Mary (Myron) and Thomas (Sera). Treasured and beloved Grandma to Micaela, Arianna, Danielle and Stephanie. She is survived by her siblings-in-law Peter (Maralyn) Paolone and Angelina (Gerry) Terriaca. Predeceased by her parents Donato and Irena (née Lombardi) Ruta and in-laws Emilio and Carmela Paolone. The youngest of eight children, Nancy was predeceased by Severino (Santolella) Ruta, Vincenzo (Elsa) Ruta, Vittorio (Maria) Ruta, Antoinetta (Domenico) Marrone, Achille Ruta, Carmela Ruta, Pietro (Antonietta) Ruta. She is also predeceased by her siblings-in-law Domenic (Frediana) Paolone, Ida (Tony) D’Onofrio and Maria Antonietta Paolone. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada, the United States, Argentina, England and Italy. Nancy immigrated to Canada on June 18, 1952, embracing a new life devoted to her family. She found joy in preparing meals that brought loved ones together and created lasting memories. A faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Nancy proudly served as a member of the Catholic Women’s League since 1968, exemplifying her deep commitment to faith and community. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 3:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church 21 Queen Street South, Thorold on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 9:30 AM. Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery.
