Norman Leslie Speake

Speake, Norman Leslie ~ at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls, on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Violet Speake (July 21, 1987). Loving father of Beatrice "Bea" (the late Walter, Nov. 17, 2005) Panas, Joan (Reg) Haley and Edna Speake. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Cheryle (Steve), Greg (Terri), Mary, Dawna (John), John (Kathleen) and Tracey and by his great grandchildren Lauren, Alex, Miranda, Cheyenne, Daynar, Mayah, Shaye and Kylee. Dear brother of Kathleen Robins and the late Patricia. Norman will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of WWII, a member of the Thorold Senior Citizens where he received a Certificate of Recognition as Thorold Citizen of the Year in 1997, inducted to the Thorold Sports Wall of Fame as "Mr. Softball", President of the Thorold Ladies Softball League for many years and loved spending time in his garden growing vegetables and sharing his harvest with others.
