Dad passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Linhaven Home on Sunday November 27, 2016. Nicola D'Addario was in his 91st year. Beloved husband of 71 years to the late Giuseppina D'Addario. Dear father of Joanne (Peter) Paolino, Guy (Margaret) D'Addario and Mary Colavecchia. Loving Nonno to Paoletta (Joe) De Filippis, Carla (Maurizio) Pardetti, Frank Paolino, Matthew (Andrea) D'Addario, Nicole (David) Rapone, Jason (Sabrina) Colavecchia, Christopher Colavecchia, Amy (Peter) Andreoglou, and Great Nonno to 14 great grandchildren, Dario and Dante Pardetti, Sophia De Filippis, Sarah, Maya and Julia Colavecchia, Domenic and Marisa Rapone, Nicholas, Max and Ava D'Addario, Elissa and Antonios Andreoglou. Brother of the late Concetta (Nick, lives in Toronto) Rossi, and late Angelo (late Immacolata) D'Addario. Dad had a passion for gardening. He treated his vegetable garden with loving care. Dad took pride in making good wine. He loved to play Bocce, Briscola, Scopa, and Tressette. Dad loved to entertain his friends and was an active member of the Holy Rosary Parish in Thorold. He was a volunteer for 20 years, for the St. Anthony Society. Nicola devoted his life to his family, Christmas was always the best. Dad loved to play Santa Claus for his grandchildren and play his Harmonica. Ho Ho Ho. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, 21 Queen Street South, Thorold, on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Thorold Holy Rosary Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
