Nicholas Joseph Iannizzi

Iannizzi, Nicholas Joseph ~ passed away peacefully, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Raso) Iannizzi (July 26, 2005). Loving father of Elizabeth Iannizzi. Much loved brother of Raffaela (late Frank) Scordino, Theresa (Frank) Bruzzese, Angelina (late Armond) Chindemi. Predeceased by sisters Josephine and her husband Albert Scordino, Carmela and her husband Sam Marabella and brother Dominic and his wife Dorothy Iannizzi. Nicholas is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was an avid baseball fan constantly cheering on his beloved Dodgers and coached award winning girls softball teams in both Thorold and Merritton. Nick was a volunteer fireman and worked for the Abitibi Provincial Paper Co. as a lab supervisor until he lost his site in 1962. He was also a member of the Advisory Board for the C.N.I.B. for several years. Nick was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold.
