Nancy Jane Paone

PAONE, Nancy Jane (nee Sturdy) - Peacefully, at the Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls, on Monday, June 5, 2017 in her 64th year. Loving mother of Dina Paone and Patrick Paone (Brianne). Proud and loving Nana to Tyler, Tucker and Ridley Paone. Survived by her sister Elizabeth Hodgson. Pre-deceased by her parents Betty (1986) and W. Phil (2008), her brother Daniel Torok (2011), nephew Nick Lang (2015) and her favourite, best brother-in-law, Wayne Hodgson (2015). Nancy will also be missed by her sister-in-law Pat and by her niece and nephews: Tania (Ron) Badr and children, Genevieve and Griffin, Joseph (Laura Hale) Grifa, Linda Ten Pas and son Kirk Lang, Danny (Jessica) Torok and children, Penelope and Freddie, Kelsey Torok, Nathaniel Torok and Michael Torok. Nancy will be remembered fondly by Christopher (Dr. Nicole) Hodgson (Matthew and Ava Hodgson), Charlotte (Greg Tremble) and Jennifer (Damien Smith) Hodgson (Grace, Holla, Briar and Baily Smith). Nancy worked many years as a Bartender and waitress at Mackinaws, Cracker Jacks, and Beechwood Golf Club and will be remembered fondly by her many friends. She will be remembered for her great cooking skills and her willingness to share with her patrons. Nancy was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 17, Thorold and a member of the Canadian Corps. Unit #44, Thorold. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the Staff at Cobblestone Gardens in Thorold, the Shaver Rehabilitation Team, Doctor Tatzel and Doctor Collins and a very special thank you to Amanda, Kelly and Jennifer of Brain Injury for the many outings and extraordinary care and friendship. Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls for their kindness, support, care and love for Nancy and family over the past several years.
