BOYD, MICHAEL FRANCIS
In Loving Memory of Michael Francis Boyd – September 10, 1967 to October 25, 2025
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Michael Boyd passed away peacefully in his home in London, Ontario with his devoted wife and best friend, Abbie MacMillan and his two loyal dogs Freddie and Roger at his side. Michael will be deeply missed by his two sons Cameron (Laleah) and Connar (Leanne) and by his loving mother, Maureen Boyd. Michael was predeceased by his father Andrew Boyd in 2022.
Michael also leaves behind his beloved siblings and their spouses – Sharon-Rose and Tom Smith, Stephen and Francine Boyd, Jean Michele and Luis Villegas and Gerard and Christa Boyd. Michael loved deeply and enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephews who knew him to be someone they could share a good laugh with. Mark, Meaghan, Andrew, Emerson, Emily and Rachel. Michael will be fondly remembered by the extended Boyd and MacMillan clans.
After graduating from Brock University, Michael built a career in the automotive industry spending the majority of his time proudly working for TRW in St. Catharines. In 2020, Michael decided to pursue his dream of having his own business and became the proud owner operator of MacBoyd Haulage Inc. Michael was known for his strong work ethic and quick wit, he could strike up a conversation with anyone and was always ready to tell a great story, share a laugh or a lend helping hand.
Michael was very proud of his two sons and when they were young, he volunteered as a Scout leader and was actively involved in all of their adventures. As a devoted and supportive parent, Michael tirelessly cheered on his two sons including travelling across the country and internationally to support their rowing endeavours. Michael loved to travel, enjoyed a good round of golf, and was never one to leave the dance floor once the music started.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the many Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers at the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at London Health Sciences Centre – it was a very long road, and they supported and cared for Michael with compassion.
