BENKEL, Meinhart - (Long time employee in Technical Services with Brock University and an avid sailor) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Meinhart, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Beloved husband of Adela. Dear father to Bernhard (Kaarina), Susie (the late Daryl) Somers and step-father to Yadian (Clara). Opa to Andrew and Alexander Somers. Survived by siblings Eberhard, Rotraud, Klaus, and Gudrun. Predeceased by parents Richard and Gertrud, Meinhart was born in Germany on December 3, 1931. He retired at age 63 and enjoyed vacationing in Cuba. At Meinhart's request, cremation has taken place.
