MANCINI, Matthew Mario "Matteo" ~ May 10, 2000 - May 8, 2013. Passed away peacefully in his Mommy and Daddy's arms at McMaster Children's Hospital after a courageous 2½ year battle with Osteosarcoma. Cherished son of Maria Ruggi and Dino Mancini. Loving brother of Christopher Mancini. Beloved grandson of Cristino and Antonietta Ruggi and Donato and Adele Mancini. Meeting Matteo are his special angels Zi Zi Mario, Nonno Mario and Nonna Mucha. Dear nephew of Joe (Lily) Ruggi, Lucia (Mark) Lefebvre, Peter Mancini, and Rino (Nicola) Mancini. Special cousin of Chris, Daniel, Joseph, Vanessa, Julia, Daniel, Lisa, Alexandra, Anthony and Paul. He will be remembered by many other family members and friends. Matteo enjoyed playing hockey, soccer, fishing, hunting and had a enormous love for animals, especially Buddy, Bella, Sid and Maddy. He also was a proud supporter of the Box Run and the Terry Fox Run. The family wishes to thank the phenomenal, loving, caring medical team and support staff at McMaster, Juravinski, Chedoke and the Regional Rehab Centre in Hamilton.
