Petraroia, Mario ~ Life's journey has many crossroads. Mario's journey was one of inspiration and hope. Called to the presence of the Lord, Mario Petraroia, on Sunday, May 16, 2010, surrounded by his family and those he loved at the age of 29. Cherished son of Raimondo and Rosanna Petraroia. Mario will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Rebecca Kowal. Loving brother of Remo (Kara) Petraroia, Anrita Petraroia and Julie Petraroia. Beloved grandson of Maria Carmela and the late Mario DiFruscia and the late Rinaldo and the late Maria Libera Petraroia. Proud uncle of Tanner and Brady. Special nephew of Antonietta (Cristino) Ruggi, Vince (Clelia) Petraroia, Chiarina (the late Angelo) Testa of Italy. Mario will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends. Mario worked as a project superintendent for PCL, Bahamas. A tragic accident cut short a promising career, but brought those who loved him closer together. Mario was an avid Habs and Bills Fan. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Hamilton General, Cheedoke-McMaster, Welland General and the St. Catharines General Hospitals, the Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre, ParaMed and the personal support workers who made Mario's home stay such an enjoyable experience.
