Mario Difruscia

DiFruscia, Mario ~ surrounded by his loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, February 25, 2008 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 62 years to Maria Carmela (DiZazzo) DiFruscia. Loving father of Rosanna (Raimondo) Petraroia and Antonietta (Cristino) Ruggi. Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Joe (Lily) Ruggi, Maria (Dino) Mancini, Lucy (Mark) Lefebvre, Remo (Kara) Petraroia, Mario Petraroia (Rebecca Kowal), Anrita and Julie Petraroia and by his great grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Vanessa, Joseph, Tanner, Christopher and Daniel. Dear brother of Carmela (Achille) Ciaraldi, Giovanni (Margarita) DiFruscia of Italy, Rocco DiFruscia, Concetta (the late Gaetano) Marandola, Domenico (Maria) DiFruscia, Carmine (Anna) DiFruscia and Maria (the late Giuseppe) Marcone. Predeceased by parents Rosa and Antonio DiFruscia and brother Antonio. Mario will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mario loved spending time at his farm, tending to his plants and animals, where he also delivered many baby animals over the years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. Thank you to the Linhaven Home for the Aged, St. Catharines General Hospital, Dr.'s Paolone and Wong for all their special care and especially to our family and friends who were there to support and care for us.
