Marilyn Hoskins

HOSKINS, Marilyn Frances (née Upton) - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Marilyn Frances Hoskins, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Niagara Health Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines, Ontario. Marilyn is survived by her five children: Douglas (Svetlana) Newton, Craig (Audrey Jean) Newton, Leesa Woodhouse, Sean Newton, and Susan Graham (Jeremy Hunt) .

She is also fondly remembered by her sister, Susan (Robert) Lampe, and her niece, Alyson. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren: Ben, Eric, Brittany, Chad, Corey, Joshua, Lee, Codie, Jamie, Lucas, Bailey, Madison, Mercedes, and Samantha, as well as her great-grandchildren: Piper, Chase, Ryleigh, Morgan, Olivia, Jameson, Lincoln, Grace, Emma, Rachel, Faith, Peyton, Maeve, Layla, Joey, and Graham.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, David John Hoskins, in 1998, as well as her parents, Abraham "Ned" and Gertrude "Gertie" Upton.

We are deeply grateful to the nurses and PSWs at Marotta Family Hospital's 5B wing. A special thank you to nurses Sharon, Sarah, and Taylor, who treated our mother with care and respect.

Your compassion, empathy, and support extended to us, her children, during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Mom. You are now in Heaven with Dad, Grandma, and Grandpa, drinking tea and listening to Dad sing.
