Marija Milinkovic

MILINKOVIC, Marija – Marija was the last of eight children. She passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, April 9, 2022 with family by her side in her 99th year. Wife of the late Mate Milinkovic (1971). Dear mother of Mile Milinkovic (late Ankica), Vlatka Zivcic (late Zvonko) and the late Tomica and Ivica Milinkovic. Beloved Baka to six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Family was the most important part of Mom’s life and she found strength in her faith. She embraced her days caring for her family and cooking wonderful meals. She would spend hours in her vegetable garden and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed knitting, canning, traveling and many trips to the casino. She loved life. While Mom had memory loss, she never lost her sense of humour. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022 with Vigil Prayers recited at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 360 River Road, Welland, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Rite of committal at Mount Saint Joseph Cemetery, Port Colborne. Those attending are asked by the family to wear a mask as a courtesy to others.
