RICCIUTO, MARIA NICOLA - With a broken heart, Maria’s family announces the passing of our dear mother. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Domenic (January 24, 2012) for 62 years. Mother of Angiolina (Angelo) Gabriele, Theresa (the late Frank) Ruscio, the late Vincenzo (Rita), Filomena (the late John) Sergnese and Tony J. Nonna will always be remembered by her grandchildren, the late John Gabriele, Robert (Richelle Scott) Gabriele, Paul (Krista) Gabriele, Christopher (Lisa) Ruscio, Nicole (Brad) Shapland, Mary Jane (Dan) Haist, Michael Sergnese. Bis Nonna always enjoyed the company of her great-grandchildren, Rebecca Gabriele, Tara-Ann (Lee Saldat) Gabriele, Amanda (Jake) Martin, Juliana Gabriele, Angelo Gabriele, Jack Ruscio, Paul Ruscio, Sam Shapland, Charlie Shapland, Eden Haist, Dean Haist, Madelyn Scott, Brooklyn Scott. Their hugs and kisses were priceless to Bisnonna. Aunt Maria had many nieces and nephews who will miss her. Predeceased by her siblings Antonio (Rosina) Marrone, Giovanni (Maria) Marrone, Terasina (Donato) Iamonaco, Vincenza (Antonio) Caputo, Joseph (Vincenza) Marrone, and in-laws Carmela Ricciuto and Louisa (Guido) Minicucci. Mother lost her vision a few years ago, but coped amazingly well, always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it was baking for us to bring to work or a gift for someone, if we needed money or just someone to talk to, she was there for us. Dear God, Our Mom was a blessing for us, please let her in your gate, so she can also cook and bake for you, Amen. Visitors will be received at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2:00 -4:00 PM, and on Monday, July 22, from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 7:00 PM Monday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church 21 Queen Street South, Thorold at 11:00 AM.
