Maria Albina Maddalena

Maddalena, Maria Albina (nee Ziccardi) ~ Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice Niagara on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, Maria went to be with the Lord in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of 62 years to Angelo Maddalena. Loving mother of Theresa, Albert (Patricia) and Carmela. Nonna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Paul, Andrew and Alexandra. Dear sister of Antonio and Margherita Petti. Predeceased by parents Carmela and Mattia Ziccardi, sister Alberina Iocca and brother Dan Ziccardi. Maria will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy and Argentina. Maria's family wish to extend special thanks to CCAC, case manager Andrea and nurse Brenda for assisting with her care while at home as well as to the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Hospice Niagara for all their wonderful care in her last several weeks.
