KENNY, Maria (nee Bartolucci) ~ it is with broken hearts that we announce that our mother Maria, in her 77th year, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Maria will be reunited with her loving husband Francis (1998) after 40 years of marriage. She was adored by her children, John (Margaret), Rhonda Kenny-Hamilton (Pat), Tim (Britta nee Heysel) and Michael (Colleen). Countless memories will be cherished by the "LIGHTS OF HER LIFE" Eddie, Ashley, Shelby, Rylie, Karley, Aimee, Jaclyn, Jake, Braden, Brooke and Ellie and great grandchildren Mason and Korrie-Lynn. Predeceased by her father Temisto Bartolucci (1968), mother and step father Olga (1998) and Americo Marinelli (1981), brother Ron Bartolucci (2003) and granddaughter Korrie-Lynn (1989). She is survived by her sister-in-law Eunice Bartolucci and uncle Tony Petrucci. She is also survived by her Kenny in-laws Nora (the late Patrick), Jim (the late Mary), George (Olga), Don (Joan), Dolores (the late John) Bialik, Phil (the late Marie) Rosso and the late Rev. Fr. Norman Kenny. She was an inspiration and role model to many nieces and nephews. Maria was born in Thorold at Maplehurst Hospital on December 18, 1937. She lived in Thorold her entire life being schooled at Holy Rosary School and Loretto Academy. She attended Hamilton Teacher's College and was a teacher at A.T. Clancy School for over 30 years. She was a proud member of her community and an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Catholic Women's League. Many students still spoke to her about the activities she had them involved in, such as painting school windows and decorating the church for religious holidays. She was active with the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Drive and organized the delivery of van loads of food annually. Mom will be missed by many.
