DiFruscia, Maria Carmela (DiZazzo) ~ surrounded by her loving family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Mario DiFruscia (Feb. 25, 2008). Loving mother of the late Antonio DiFruscia, Rosanna (Raimondo) Petraroia and Antonietta (Cristino) Ruggi. Loving and devoted Nonna of Joe (Lilianna) Ruggi, Maria Ruggi (Rod), Lucia (Mark) Lefebvre, Remo (Kara) Petraroia, the late Mario Petraroia (Rebecca Kowal), Anrita and Julie Petraroia. Great Nonna Muccia will be sadly missed by Christopher, Matteo, Vanessa, Joseph, Tanner, Brady, Chris and Daniel. Cherished sister of the late Antonio (Giuseppa) DiZazzo, Margherita (Arturo) DiCicco, Guido (Maria Carmina) DiZazzo and Domenica (Antonio) Delli Colli. Dear sister-in-law of the late Carmela survived by her husband Achille, Giovanni (the late Margarita) DiFruscia of Italy, Rocco DiFruscia, Concetta (the late Gaetano) Marandola, Domenico (Maria) DiFruscia, Carmine (Anna) DiFruscia and Maria (the late Giuseppe) Marcone. Predeceased by parents Rocco and Gelsomina DiZazzo and step mother Mariuccia Rodi. Maria Carmela will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was an avid gardener and had a passion for cooking and chocolate. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at GNGH and Angelina and Gina from the Red Cross for their care and support.
