LUCIANI, MARGARET (née Edgar) –

November 22, 1935 - October 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Luciani (nee Edgar), on October 6, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on November 22, 1935, Margaret lived her entire life in Thorold, Ontario, surrounded by the family and friends she loved so deeply.

Beloved wife of the late Alfred Luciani (2010), Margaret was the devoted mother of Lori (Paul) Grossi, Mark (Sandra) Luciani, and Paula (Mark) Kita. She was also the proud grandmother “Nana” to Shannon (Mike), Adam (Karishma), Jennifer (Alex), Carly (Carl), Kristen (Kyle), Kendra (CJ) and Kristi, and great grandmother of nine. Her family was the source of her deepest joy and her proudest accomplishment.

Margaret worked at the Provincial Paper Mill, in Thorold, before marrying the love of her life. She also worked part-time at Junior Town, while raising a family, but her favourite job was being a mom and a grandmother. She was the one everyone turned to for guidance, comfort, and support. There was no problem she could not fix. She was more than a mother and a grandmother - she was a confidante, a companion, and a best friend.

"A beautiful relationship is a one-time thing, and I've already had mine" - Margaret is now reunited with her soul mate, and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grand-children, extended family, and dear friends.
