Marcello Angelo Munaretto

December 27, 1944 to June 1, 2023

Peacefully, with his family by his side, Marcello Angelo Munaretto passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the age of 78 at Niagara Health, St. Catharines.

Marcello leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Elaine Lambert, who, after many years of courtship, he married in 2008 in a beautiful family ceremony. Their life together was filled with family, love, and adventure.

He also leaves behind his daughters Angie (Stephen), Monica (Kevin) and Alyssa (Colin). In addition, he had strong bonds with Elaine's children, Mark Danylchuk (Kristen), Lisa Lambert-Blacquier (Tim) and Steve Danylchuk. Together they will carry on his legacy of commitment to family values.

One of his greatest joys in life was to be in the presence of his children and grandchildren. He will be loved forever as Nonno by his 9 grandchildren: Sarah, Lauren, Hailey, Braxton, Evey, Stephen, Evelyn and his new babies Winnie and Rachel.

Beyond this, Marcello was a friend, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and great uncle to many.

Marcello was born in San Martino di Lupari, Veneto, Italy to Giovanna Bruanti and Narciso Munaretto (both predeceased). He was a younger brother to Elio (Ada) (both predeceased),  Silvana (Bruno - Predeceased) and Alfio Munaretto.

A Catholic funeral mass to celebrate his life was held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Thorold, Ontario on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 with cremation to follow.

Donations can be made to Community Care Thorold in his name to support his local food bank. Providing a good meal to family and friends was something important to Marcello.
