Mafalda Angela Marinelli

MARINELLI, Mafalda Angela – Mafalda “Muffy” Marinelli was a caring wife, mother, stand-in-grandma, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Mafalda was born to Guilielmo and Maria Berardi on July 2, 1938, in Capestrano, Italy. In 1953, the family, Lidia, Mafalda and brother Umberto emigrated to Lockport, New York, U.S.A., where Mafalda met her husband Nicola Marinelli. Together they had three sons, Gian Paolo, Adriano, and Luciano. Mafalda loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals and baked goods for her family. Neighbourhood children would gather around the kitchen table for after school cookies and they loved listening to her sing and tell stories. Mafalda was also an active member in her Italian social clubs and volunteered her time to both Club Italia in Niagara Falls and Club Roma in St. Catharines. A private family service was held followed by the Rite of Committal at Lakeview Mausoleum. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
