Lynn Doris Lalonde

LALONDE, Lynn Doris - Passed peacefully to be with the Lord, with those who loved her by her side, at the N.H.S. - St. Catharines Site, on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Lynn (Johnston) of Thorold in her 65th year. She leaves behind her loving husband and soul mate Leonard Lalonde, her children Chuck (Christine) and Derek (Ashley) Doner, Catherine (Sabien) Roose and Amy Lalonde (Rob Zanni) and her grandchildren Mariah, Oneil, Alexis, Kayden, Nolan and Autumn. Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Wrestler Ronald "Bull" Johnston and Charlotte (nee Prawdzik). Sister of Sandra (Gordon) Boucher, Randy Johnston, Susan (Gordon) Dorion and the late Daniel "Bullwhip" Johnston. Sister-in-law to Kathy Johnston. Aunt Lynn will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins and had many good and close friends that thought of her as family and will also hold her in their hearts. Lynn touched many lives with her generosity of time, love and kindness. She retired from Canada Post in 2007 after almost 35 years, making many lifetime friends. Her greatest joys were time spent with her family and road trips with Len. Special thanks to Brenda Laslo for all her support and love and to all the Nurses and Personal Support Workers that helped make her life better. A special thank you also to all the Nurses on 3B at the St. Catharines General Hospital that gave Lynn such great care and made her a priority. As per her wishes, cremation will take place. Friends will be received at the BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016. A service to celebrate Lynn's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers or fruit baskets, donations to your local children's sports groups / teams or to the Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site, would be appreciated by the family.
