Luigi Pavan

Pavan, Luigi ~ October 6, 1915 - January 31, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of 67 years to Cesira "Sara" (Cattarin) Pavan. Loving father of Amalia "Molly" (Johann) Hochmeister, Lina (Edward) Farnworth and Loretta Pavan. Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lisa (Attilio) Commisso, Karen (Daniel) Fischer, Eric (Heather) Hochmeister, John Farnworth, Sara (Joseph) Krenosky and Sandra D'Ammizio and by his great grandchildren Maximilian, Victoria and Audrey Hochmeister, Madison and Ethan Fischer and Lilianna and her soon to arrive sister Commisso. Dear brother of Maria (the late Virginio) Gheller, Giuseppe (Rina) Pavan and Antonio (Adelina) Pavan. Predeceased by Perina (the late Noe) Carlesso, Guido Pavan, Gino Pavan survived by his wife Nori, Tullio Pavan survived by his wife Angelina and Girolemo Pavan survived by his wife Carmela. Special brother-in-law of Delfina (the late Angelo) Pasin, the late Guido Cattarin, Olindo (the late Bruna) Cattarin, the late Giuseppe Cattarin survived by his wife Rina, the late Ugo (the late Antonia) Cattarin and Giuliana (the late Adriano) Moratto. Luigi will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and the U.S.A. He was a very independent, good natured man with a wonderful sense of humour and a heart of gold. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold.
