LILLO, LUCIA - The family of Lucia Lillo (DiPalma) sadly announce Lucia's peaceful passing on June 30th in her 89th year. Loving and dedicated wife of Cosimo Lillo for 58 years. Loving and nurturing mother to Angelo (Lesley Kingham-Lillo) and Linda (Joe) Morinello. Her greatest joy was being Nonna to Thomas and David Lillo and Dylan and Clare Atreo. Sister to Lina (the late Ottavio) Iafrate of Italy, Maria (the late Rafaele) Casinelli of Italy and Frank (Joanne) DiPalma. Sister-in-Law to Grace (Steve) Spagnoletti. Predeceased by her parents and in-laws Salvatore and Antonietta DiPalma (Italy) and Angelo and Catarina Lillo. Lucia was born in Isola del Liri, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1958 as a young woman. Lucia met and married Cosimo and they created a beautiful life surrounded by family and friends who cherished her. Lucia's gentle heart, compassionate smile and generous nature will be missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Sunday, July 4, 2021 from 2:00- 4:00 PM and 7:00- 9:00 PM. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, 31 Chestnut Street East, Merritton.
