Louie Silvello

Silvello, Louie (1931-2009) ~ peacefully, at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in his 78th year. Best friend and loving husband of 59 years to Lucy (Franceschini) Silvello. Louie will be sadly missed by his daughters Linda (Chuck) Turton and Gina (Pat) Monachino and by his grandchildren Amy (Andrew) Symes and Adam Stephenson. Survived by brother Bruno (Eileen) of Hanover. Louie will also be fondly remembered by his family, including many nephews, nieces and his friends. A resident of Thorold for his whole life, Louie was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Domtar Paper Mill in 1996. Louie will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others and his witty sense of humour. The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital, I.C.U.
