LANE, LILLIAN "CINDY" – After a long illness, with her family by her side at home, just like she wanted on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the age of 67. Beloved wife of Dan for 39 years. Loving Mom of Michael (Amy) Doyle and Blair Doyle. Adored, special Nan to Ethan, Lucy, Lily and Mason. Devoted sister to Laurie (Alfie) Scott, Randy (the late Jane) Knox and Winnie (Pat) Ford. Predeceased by her parents Mona Knox and Tony (surviving spouse Sharon) Knox, and brother Ronnie Knox. Cindy will be fondly remembered by Dan's brothers and sisters; and her nieces, nephews and cousins. Missed by her devoted feathered friend Jassie, and predeceased by her beloved pet dog, Foxy. She was a social butterfly and will be missed by her many, many friends. Cindy worked on the Great Lakes as a Chief Cook, and also as a receptionist at Thorold Medical Clinic. Moving with Dan to Newfoundland for his work, where she made many life-long friends, but she still spent so much time travelling home to Ontario that she had more flying time than the pilots. Cindy loved to camp at the Shangri-la Campground in Jordan, and she was an avid bingo player. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery 3651 Thorold Townline Road, Thorold on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Cindy's life will follow, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17, 3 Ormond Street South in Thorold at 2:00 PM. Anyone who knew Cindy knew her love of animals and donations to the Greater Niagara Humane Society in her name would be appreciated.
Cindy's family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the care she received from Dr. Kahlon, Dr. Kodous, her PSW Luna and the support of Jan and Melissa.
