Leo William Persia

Persia, Leo William ~ peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the age of 88. Beloved companion of Jean Ferry. Loving father of Gary (Marianne), Sharon Weir, Leo (Michelle) and Grace (Daryn) Derwinsky. Predeceased by his sons Philip (2004) and Richard (2011). Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 grandchildren. Leo will also be missed by his 11 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Carmel Farrugia, Laura Cheevers, and Eleanor (Louis) Condotta. Predeceased by brothers Ralph and his wife Patricia), Raymond survived by his wife Irma, and sister Mary Trunzo. Leo worked for the Ontario Paper Co., retiring in 1986. A special thank you the the St. Catharines General Hospital Trauma Care Unit and the 5th Floor Staff for all their care and compassion.
