Lawrence Bernicky

Bernicky, Lawrence ~ peacefully, with his family by his side, a loving and devoted husband and father passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 63 years to Pierrette Bernicky. Loving father of Francine (Harold), Louise (Ken), Denis (Mary-Ellen), Johanne (John), Barb and Larry. Waiting for him will be his loving daughter Aileen (July 5, 2005) and his grandson Jesse (Dec. 14, 1996). Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ella, Elsie and Evelyn. Predeceased by brothers Bob, Archie and Lesley and sister Sadie. Private Lawrence Bernicky served with the 9th Brigade 3rd Division of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlands in WWII. He fought in Holland and Germany, serving with the Occupation Force in Germany. Lawrence worked for Fraser Paper Co. for 33 years. The family wishes to thank the I.C.U. staff at the St. Catharines General Hospital for all their care and compassion.
