Kosta Tirpko

Tirpko, Kosta "Gus" ~ surrounded by his loving and caring family, at the Palliative Care Unit, Welland County General Hospital, on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 62 years to Catherine (Kostandoff) Tirpko. Papa "Gus" will be sadly missed by sons Jim and George (Mary), grandchildren Nicholas (Lisa), Arla, Geoffrey (Jennifer), and Christopher (Joanne) and great grandchildren Ava, Claire and Colson. Dear brother of John (Margaret) Tirpkoff of Thornbury, ON. Predeceased by brother Chris Tirpko. Gus came from Greece to Toronto in 1938, then moved to Thorold in 1950. He was employed by Thorold Bakery (Riganelli's), Silverwood Dairies and Lastman Bad Boy Furniture. Gus was a member of St. George's Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 15 G.R.C. and a member of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, St. Catharines.
