YUSEK, JUSTIN - Unexpectedly, Justin passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 36. Beloved son of Debbie (Bob Barnes) and Vaughn Yusek (the late Nancy Kuik), Justin was a devoted brother to Kyle (Julie) Yusek, Jessie (Will) Yusek-Pidzamecky, Erin Yusek and father to Bentley. Justin will be lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Dona, Kevin, Dawn (Larry), Ronni (Bill), and Kerry (Bill). He was predeceased by his uncles Barry and Randy, and by his aunt Bobbi Jo, whose husband Ray survives her. He is also survived by his kindergarten best friend, Mike Symons, as well as many cousins, friends, and coworkers who will deeply miss him. An avid animal lover, Justin shared his life with many different pets over the years. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his vegetable garden, and caring for his aquarium and he was a long-standing member of LiUNA Local 837. His greatest passion, however, was hockey. Known as "YUSEK #2," Justin proudly wore his number throughout his childhood and adult playing years. A lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he remained loyal to his team through every victory and the numerous disappointments. Although life presented Justin with many challenges, one of his greatest accomplishments was his sobriety journey. He was looking forward to celebrating two years of sobriety on September 23, 2026, a milestone of which he was deeply proud. Family and friends are invited to gather at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent Street, Thorold, on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Lamb Chapel of the funeral home. Justin will be laid to rest at a later date at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Hamilton. In memory of Justin, donations may be made to Silver Spire Church, in support of the Fireside Wellbriety Group, or to the Humane Society of Greater Niagara.
